Richard - Baritone
I have been with the choir since 1999. I am a retired contract software developer. The culture of the singers, the musical director and accompanist has always been very warm and friendly. Jokes fly fast – even during rehearsals. As well as being friendly we put effort into our music projects and love putting on concerts at a high standard. Our committee is very organised and puts in a lot of effort to ensure smooth running of all our activities. |
Kerry - Bass
I joined the Canberra Men’s Choir in 2017 having had little prior experience of choral singing. Getting together with the Choir members for regular rehearsals and performances throughout the years has been great fun. We have a varied repertoire of music to suit most tastes. We also have a great musical director who guides us is an informal and supportive manner. The Choir’s relaxed environment has given me a great opportunity to slowly build my singing ability, and to meet new friends. I certainly recommend the Canberra Men’s Choir to all men who want to sing and enjoy themselves. Brian - Tenor 2
I have been singing with the Canberra Men's Choir since the beginning of 2023. I have enjoyed singing most of my life including each Sunday as a member of a church congregation. However this is the first time that I have sung in a choir since I was a boy soprano in primary school. I have learned much during my short time with the choir. It has been challenging but great fun. My fellow choir members are very supportive and friendly. The Choir director is professional and experienced helping new comers like me to fit in quickly. I would recommend this choir to any man who enjoys singing and the Comradeship of other men. |
